Daniel Negreanu brings his latest Weekly Rant to us from his apartment in Monaco while he’s there for the European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final. He discusses the importance of having a budget for playing poker and not being afraid of moving down in stakes and lifestyle to manage it better, as well as the importance of young players being approachable and selling themselves better.
While normally focusing on the big topics in poker over the last week, this week’s rant did have one notable exclusion, namely the ‘PokerStars buying Full Tilt Poker’ bombshell. However, Negreanu does joke in reference to it, saying, “Unfortunately it was a pretty slow news week, I mean not a lot happened in the poker world, right?” And then gives a “no comment” whisper.
