On a 1,039,000 stack, he is the only player to sit over the million mark and is well clear of his next nearest rival of Mathew Carlsson on 846,000 and overnight chip leader Didier Guerin on 754,000.

After half an hour of play yesterday, Curtis had the honour of dispatching of bubble boy David Joseph when he hit a higher flush than Joseph. Once in the money, last woman standing Lynn Brooks departed in 26th place (AUD $2635) and the two international players of Estonia’s Daniel Loobas and Hong Kong’s Hoi Wing Cheung left in 21st and 20th place respectively to both receive AUD $2945 in prize money.
