Ci Youn Shin Leads Day 2 of the Philippine Poker Tour


At the end of all the Day 1 flights, a total of 234 players graced the felt for the 6th Leg of the PPT 2012 1M Guaranteed held at the Squeeze Poker Club in Dau, Mabalacat City. After all was said and done, only 86 players survived, and they will be returning on Sunday, October 21, for another grueling battle on the poker green. Currently in the chip lead is Day 1C monster stacked Ci Youn Shin with 200,600 chips. He is followed by Day 1A chip leader Alex Jovi with 169,300 chips, and rounding out the top three is Day 1B chip leader Som Yung Sim.

Other notables who made the cut were 4th leg champion and leader of the PPT POY Martin Corpuz, two time final tableist Edwin Marzan, third place finisher of the 5th leg Seung Soo Jeon, 4th leg final tableist Redentor Edoc and his brother Lester Edoc who placed 5th in the previous leg, and 3rd place finisher in the 4th leg Richard “hotsauce” Marquez to mention a few.

As there are qualifiers, there are also those who bowed out early such as 3rd place finisher of the 4th leg Jojo Tech, 4th place finisher of the 2nd leg Mike Takayama, champion of the 1st leg Dexter Luna, and champion of the 3rd leg Rene Pacayra to mention a few.
